The AIP has adopted the following positions on the 2002 Ballot Proposals

Planning yes, zoning NO When the public trust has been breached, the public has the obligation to recall the liars from office.RECALL YES TO ALL Preferential Voting / Instant Runoff VotingProp 1 On the Primary Ballot, INSTANT RUNOFF VOTING, will allow you as a voter to rank your candidate in your order of preference in most every race and would require a 50% +1 majority to win the election. Your vote will not be thrown away when you chose someone who in not a republocant or demicant. Sponsored by Party Officers VOTE YES Constitutional ConventionBallot Measure 1 As required by the Alaska Constitution, This is a call to convene a state constitutional convention. (plank 4 of our platform) VOTE YES Move The LegislatureBallot Measure 2 On the general election ballot, this proposal will move the legislative session from Juneau to a place where the vast majority of Alaskans will have access to them, in the Mat-Su Valley on the Road system. VOTE YES All Alaska Gasline AuthorityBallot Measure 3 On the general election ballot, this proposal would create an Alaskan Gas Authority and create an ALL ALASKAN Gas Pipeline. Tell Tony, Fran, Frank, Ted (ie. all the oil company bought and paid for politicians) and BP/Phillips that their way, the highway (or over the top), is NOT our way. and NOT an option for Alaska. Alaskan must benefit from our own natural gas, not Canada or the lower 48. Supported By All Party Officers! VOTE YES The AIP Supports the initiative efforts of the people of Alaska |
